Rickey Chaney

Rickey Eugene Chaney, 60 years old of Russellville passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at Huntsville, Alabama. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM till 9: 00 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church. The funeral Service will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Town Creek, Alabama.

Rickey loved his grandchildren, his family and friends, farming and tractors.

Survivors include his wife: Lena Chaney, five sons: Tim Chaney (Christy), AJ Johnson (Jessica), Brian Chaney (Samantha), Larry Chaney (Vickie), Johnathon Chaney (Shannon) and Josh Chaney, two daughters: Marie Johnson (Andy) and Emma Randolph (Tylor), three brothers: Carl Chaney (Joann), Leroy Chaney, and Buddy Chaney, four sisters: Doris Manley, Elaine Dailey, Ruby Cook, and Jannie Baker (Robby) 26 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Henraetta Chaney, his father: Monroe Chaney, two sisters: Ann Chaney and Linda Chaney, and one brother: Jamie Chaney.

Pallbearers will be Andy Mears, Henry Mears, Ray Highducheck, Gary Mitchell, Mitchell Jackson, Andy Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell and Jeff Chaney.

The family extends special thanks to Huntsville Hospital, Mr. Harry and Mrs. Ann Gillespie and family and everyone that showed any form of love and kindness during Rickey’s illness.
