Robert Scott

Robert Eugene Scott, 79, of Tuscumbia passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at his home. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Richard Parker officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Florence.

Born on July 4, 1940 to the late Samuel and Eva Mae Scott, Robert was a graduate of Deshler High School. He enjoyed fishing, going to auctions and “shooting the s*!t”.

Survivors include his wife of almost 23 years, Tina Scott; children, Rick Scott (Bonnie), Tony Scott (Debra), Angie Simpson (Carl), Robin Capsopoulos (Ian), Angel Klyce (Will), Eva Scott, Cheryl Scott and Tim Scott (Tracy); grandchildren, Tasha Scott, Sammy Scott, Daniel Scott, McKenzie Scott, Billy Segers (Danielle), Autumn McGonigle (Shane), Rebecca Russell, Evan McKinnon, Randa Bianco, Megan Lang, and Courtney Scott Davis; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Scott (Lisa), Donald Scott (Dot), and Roger Scott (Linda); sisters, Linda Gail Terry (Bobby), Gloria Aycock (Hilliard), and Carolyn Segers; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Kitty.

Robert was preceded in death by his first Wife; Betty Wallace Scott; son, Randall Scott, granddaughter, Amber Scott Tucker; sisters, Francis Murray, Oma Skains, Elizabeth Basden, and Ruby Earline Zills; brothers, Billy Scott, Jimmy Scott and WC Scott; and his beloved pet, Buddy Boy.

Pallbearers will be Carl Segers, Perry Brown, TJ Woods, Dylan Barfield, James Olive, Garrett Jackson and Ian McKinnon. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Pettus, Billy Segers, and Don Lentz

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Alabama Hospice of the Shoals.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of his many family and friends who have been impacted by cancer.
