Steve Owens

Steve Owens, 56, of Moulton passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 5 till 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25 at the funeral home with Scott Delashaw officiating. Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery.

Born on March 13, 1965 to Eddie Ray and Marscelle Oliver Owens, Steve loved fishing, camping, and bowling. He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

Survivors include his son, Benjamin Owens; daughter, Kristen Owens; mother, Marscelle Owens; sisters, Liz Pace, Becky Phillips, and Carol Letson; brother, Johnny Owens; brothers-in-law, Steve Davis, Jeff Davis, and Michael Davis; and sisters-in-law, Jennifer Rainey and Kim Davis.

Steve was preceded in death by his father; sister, Lisa Rena Owens; and grandson, Michael Benson.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Luker, Logan Pace, Brian Hollimon, Billy Phillips, Steve Davis, and Billy Phillips, II.

The family extends special thanks to his nurses and caregivers at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to local animal rescue groups.
