Tommy H. Goodwin, 63, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the funeral home with Greg Musgrove officiating. Burial will be in Clardy Cemetery.
Born on September 1, 1956 to the late Thomas and Ruby Goodwin, Tommy owned and operated Pitt Stop Grocery for over 20 years. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Auburn Tigers fan.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Diane Goodwin; children, Chris Parker and Jamie Pitt (Brandon); grandchildren, Bailie Parker, James Parker, Whit Parker, Briley Pitt, and Landon Pitt; and one great grandson, Lawson Jones; sisters, Jean Thompson (Kenneth), Linda Harris (Larry), and Judy Underwood (Duck); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth Goodwin and Danny Goodwin; and sister, Diane Blaxton.
Pallbearers will be Chris Parker, Brandon Pitt, James Parker, Whit Parker, Landon Pitt and Rickey Lanier.
