Tony Sims

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, Tony Lynn Sims, loving fiance, brother, friend, uncle and son, went to be with Jesus at the age of 32. Tony was born on February 9, 1988 to Tony and Barbara Sims. He graduated from Mount Hope High School in 2006. He was a proud member of the Mount Hope Community.

Tony and his fiance, Jessica Payne, were so excited to be married on May 9, 2020. They purchased their first home and planned to have a ranch named The Redemption Ranch. We are all going to help make that dream a reality.

He was employed with the Farmers Co Op in Leighton where he loved his job and his co-workers.

First and foremost, Tony loved Jesus. He was an obedient, faithful servant of God. He loved church and serving people. If he could help it, he didn’t miss church. We know without a doubt when he took his last breath, he went straight into the arms of Jesus.

One of his favorite hobbies was training horses. He also loved to hunt and fish. Tony loved his family unconditionally. He was the best uncle any niece or nephew could ever have had. He loved them all so very much. They loved and adored their uncle Tony. It was amazing watching his patience with them and training them to ride horses. There aren’t adequate words to say how much we are going to miss him. We take comfort in knowing he’s with Jesus.

Tony is survived by his fiance, Jessica; his parents, Tony and Barbara; his sister, Lindsey (Wesley), his brother, Dustin (Krista); his nieces, (R), Kinsley, Lucy, and Gracie; and his nephews, (J), (A), and Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie and Oma Poston and Silvey and Eloise Sims.

Pallbearers will be Robert Poston, Anthony Poston, Tommy Sockwell, Paul Peden, Brad Balentine, and Scotty Behel.

Tony’s funeral service will be held on Good Friday, April 10, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, only the immediate family will view at Lawrence Funeral Home, then meet for a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Fergason Cemetery in Hatton. We are asking that any family friends, co-workers, or anyone else that would like to attend please feel free to come and stay in your vehicle at the cemetery.

As soon as the service is over, we would like everyone to have a chance to circle through the cemetery driveway in their cars to allow them to pay their respects to our beloved Tony Lynn. We hate that this is the way we have to do this, but we have no other choice at this time. We welcome any and all that would like to come and wait until we can do the drive-through. We will all greatly appreciate your support during this time. We love you all.
