Troy Smith

Troy Smith, 87 years old of Danville, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his residence.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2017 beginning at 3:00 PM at Lindsey Hall in Danville, the funeral service will be Monday, July 17, 2017 at 3:00PM also at Lindsey Hall.  Jack Palmer and Charles Williams officiating.   Lawrence Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  There will not be a burial service.
Mr. Smith was a Minister for 54 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Bertha Smith, His grandparents: Dyke and Tresey Smith, his grandmother: Ada Smith and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 67 years: Pernie Carlene Stracener Smith of Danville, three sons:  Wallace Smith of Danville, Troy Dwight Smith of Lakeland, Florida and Charles Joseph Smith (Portia)  of Cullman, three daughters: Divonne Ann Davis (Roger) , Belinda James (Patrick), both of Cullman and Robin Maples(Tommy) of Danville, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Charles Joseph Smith, Patrick James, Adam Smith, Bryan Smith, Avery Smith and Wallace Smith.  Honorary pallbearers are Roger Davis, Troy Hall, Randall Smith, Norman Sanders, Sean Davis, Jody Jones and Alex Jones.
