Vaudrey Rucker

Vaudrey C. Rucker, 92, of Hatton, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at her home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Hatton Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Ben Phillips and Chris Miller officiating. Burial will be at Rutherford Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on April 30, 1931 to the late William and Kathleen White Christian, Vaudrey graduated from Hatton High School and attended Hatton Church of Christ. She was always there and loved to help with VBS and other church activities. Vaudrey cleaned the church for over 30 years. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Neiki Harville; sons-in-law, Donald Hallman and Sandy Gillespie; grandchildren, Robin Gillespie, and Scott Harville; great-grandchildren, Kenadie, Rylan, Madison, Jase, Ella and Noah; sisters, Jean (Luther) Masterson, and Joyce Mullican; brother, Kelley Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Vaudrey was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Paula Gillespie; grandson, Chase Harville.

Pallbearers will be Robin Gillespie, Scott Harville, Kelley Christian, Donald Hallman, Dexter Flannagin, Jase Harville, and Jeff Flannagin. Honorary pallbearers are the Elders of Hatton Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hatton Church of Christ Building Fund.
