Wanda Cameron Flemings, 86, of Mount Hope, Alabama passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024, at New Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Fitzgerald officiating.
Born on June 20, 1937, to Claude and Lillian Hall Cameron, Wanda was a graduate of Mount Hope High School and Larimore Business College in Florence. Wanda was also a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, flower gardening, and taking care of her pets.
Survivors include her two daughters, Misti (Brad) Hopkins, and Brigitte (Jeff) Sibley; grandchildren, Rye Sibley (Mitchell) Elzey, Sunny Hopkins, Ivy Sibley(Aaron) Fry, Cason (Chandler) Sibley, Beau (Kadie) Hopkins, Reiny Hopkins, Jordan (Katie) Sibley, Lynnsey Sibley; great-grandchildren, Brodie Gillespie, Ada McElroy, Ruby Hopkins, Gunner Hopkins, Brooke Elzey; one sister, Dorothy (Dyle) Harville; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Flemings; parents, Claude Cameron and Lillian Cameron; two sisters, Aline Kennedy and Nadine Cameron; and one brother, Claude Cameron Jr..
