Wesley Melson

Wesley Ray Melson, 62, of Moulton passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Danville, AL.

Born on December 15, 1960 to the late William and Avis LouAllen Melson, Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing, Auburn Football, riding around with his brothers and friends and taking care of his chickens.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Shultz; brothers, Henry (Sherry) Melson, Darrin (Donna) Melson, Glenn (April) Melson; nieces and nephews, Misty Melson, Shannon (Heather) Shultz, Brandon (Susan) Melson, Brian (Alicia) Shultz, Lashawn (Jesse) Webster, Nicole Melson Vess, and D J Melson.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Crystal Melson and Angela Melson; brothers, Richard "Ricky" Melson; and Gene Melson; and brother-in-law, Leo Schultz.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Melson, Bentley Melson, Dalton Melson, Shannon Shultz, Brian Shultz, D J Melson. Honorary pallbearers are Ryder Melson, Phillip Johnson, Milton Barns, Jimmy Crow, and Kenneth Peterson.

The family extends special thanks to his nurses, Emily and Allie with Enhabit Health and Hospice.
