Willie Blankenship

Willie M. "Tincy" Alexander Blankenship, 94, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at her residence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Monday, December 09, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:30 PM on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Poss officiating. Burial will be at Owen Chapel Cemetery.

Born on November 13, 1930, to William and Dellie Fretwell Alexander, Willie was a member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, wildlife, concerts, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two children, Sonny (Judy) Blankenship and Kaye (Anthony) Blankenship; four grandchildren, April (Brian) Finch, Alex (Katy) Graham, Dylan Blankenship, and Ben Holt; three great-grandchildren, Lexi Kilpatrick, Briley Finch, and Riley Graham; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Willie was preceded in death by her husband, James "Carlton" Blankenship; parents, William and Dellie Alexander; six brothers, Greer Alexander, Watt Alexander, Paul Alexander, Gene Alexander, Forney Alexander, and Bill Alexander; two sisters, Vivian Gibson and Mable Richards.

Pallbearers will be Alex Graham, Dylan Blankenship, Ashley Alexander, Brian Finch, Brett Woodruff, and Butch Richards.

Honorary Pallbearer is Ben Holt.

The family extends special thanks to Aveanna Hospice, 24 hr care, Megan Terry, Aprell Martin, Brooke Sparks, Kara Cottingham, Paige Pylant, and Nancy Alexander.
