Mary Smith

Mary "Dian" Smith, 72, of Danville, Alabama passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at her residence. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to  1:00 PM on Monday, October 03, 2022, at Harmony Grove Church in Danville. The funeral service will be at  1:00 PM on Monday, October  3, 2022, at Harmony Grove Church in Danville with pastor Eric Dabbs officiating. Burial will be at Old Friendship Cemetery in Danville, AL.

Born on July 16, 1950, to Vernon and Mary Hillis Seals, Dian enjoyed wood working, arts and crafts, sewing, planting flowers, and especially loving on her grandchildren. Dian was also a longtime member of Harmony Grove Church. Above all Dian was a wonderful wife, and a caring and loving mother to her sons.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Bobby Smith; four sons, Kevin Smith (Jessica), Keith Smith, Jon Smith (Julie), and T.J. Smith (Malory); six grandchildren, Meridith Smith, Levi Smith, Caleb Smith, Carley Smith, Camden Smith, and Gavin Smith; two sisters, Pam Taylor and Melinda Dawns (Terry); two brothers, Don Seals and  Ricky Seals; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Dian was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Seals; two brothers, Charles Seals and Paul Seals;and one sister, Reba Lamar Scoggins.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Smith, Roger Smith Jr., Brian Seals, Mark Seals, Caleb Owens, and Richard Walker.
