Samuel Adam Witt, 33, of Danville, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at home in Pensacola, FL. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Cowboy Church of Colbert County with Truman Sutton officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Town Creek, AL.
Sam was born on February 16, 1989, in Morgan County, AL. Sam cared deeply about his family and maintained many special friendships throughout his life. He was an Army Veteran, one of a kind person with a gentle soul whose smile and laugh could light up any room. He enjoyed watching all sports, but his favorites were football (ROLL TIDE) and NASCAR (Go Chase Elliott#9). He also enjoyed golfing, biking, bowling, and anything by the water. Sam was a loving husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Courtney Witt; father, Edwin Witt; mother, Darlene Nabors Witt; stepmother, Midge Witt; stepfather, Randy Whitten; one brother, Darwin Witt; four stepbrothers, Joey, Carl, Phill Womack, and Randy Whitten Jr.; one stepsister, Jennifer Nauman; extended family, and many friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Miller Paris Witt; grandmother, Mary Eula (Potter) Witt; grandfather, Billy Clyde Nabors; and grandmother, Ellen Lorene (Stout) Nabors.
Pallbearers will be Darwin Witt, Tucker Sargent, Todd Sargent, Chris Ray, Trent Potter, and David Long.
